SPARK Photos · last updated 4 October 2026
SPARK Photos is a private photo library for the SPARK team in Rotterdam. It is not open to the public. This page explains what information it uses and why.
What we collect
- Your email address and name, only to sign you in (by email link or Google sign-in) and check that you are on the team list. We do not receive your Google password, contacts, or any other Google data.
- Photos from SPARK shows, courses and events, copied from SPARK's Google Drive: small previews and thumbnails are stored in the app, and full-size originals stay in Drive.
- Face data. To let the team find photos of a person, the app detects faces in photos and stores a numeric description of each face (a face embedding) together with its position in the photo. Faces are grouped into people, and team members may give a group a name.
How it is used
Only to organise, search and download SPARK's own photos for the team. We do not sell data, show adverts, or share photos or face data with anyone outside the services listed below.
Who can see it
Only people SPARK has added to the team list. Everyone else, including other people who sign in, sees nothing.
Where it is stored
- Supabase (database and image storage, hosted in Frankfurt, EU)
- Vercel (hosts the website)
- Google Drive (the original photos)
Face detection runs on SPARK's own computer, not on a third-party face recognition service.
Your rights
If you appear in a photo and would like it, or your face data, removed or corrected, ask the SPARK team and we will do it. You can also ask what we hold about you. Removing a person's face data does not affect the photos themselves unless you ask for those to be removed too.
